Chair Yoga shares the same benefits as standard yoga practice. Strength, flexibility, and poise, are all developed with a balanced yoga practice.

Muscular strength and endurance are developed early in the practice. Muscles are toned and stretched reducing soreness and pain. Flexibility results in smooth and supple joints, often reducing pain. Poise is achieved through balance both in general and between the different body systems. All these qualities are achieved through the gentle flow of the breath which calms the mind, elevates the spirit, and promotes an overall gracefulness. Deep breathing helps oxygenate the blood flow to the joints and promotes mental clarity.
